The San Francisco Paramedic Association is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of emergency care in the Bay Area. Since 1986, the SFPA has provided top quality, award-winning emergency care courses to both professional medical providers and the public. Clinical instructors bring their wealth of experience to the classroom. Simulators create real-world learning experiences. Students are encouraged to practice in a safe, supportive environment in order to learn the complexities of critical, emergency care principles.

In addition to its classes, the SFPA serves as a major resource for the Bay Area’s prehospital care system. Its membership and board of directors consists of paramedics and EMTs who are dedicated to improving the professionalism of EMS providers not only locally, but nationally as well. Its members volunteer for a variety of causes and donate their time and money in helping others outside of the job itself.
