Below is a list of the benefits available to active members of the San Francisco Paramedic Association.
We strongly urge our members to take advantage of all of the services offered through the San Francisco Paramedic Association and through its affiliation with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians.
The SFPA offers 2 types of memberships. Active Members consist of EMTs and Parmedics, and an Associate Membership for all other healthcare professionals.
Although Associate Members cannot vote, they are entitled to benefits such as: reduced rate or FREE CE classes, a newsletter subscription, store discounts, access to a credit union, and your very own SFPA T-Shirt! Most importantly, you will be supporting a high quality training institute that advocates for better patient care
As an Active Member, you will receive:
- Representation at the local, state and national levels. SFPA members
sit on
various county committees. SFPA representatives also attend state EMS meetings and track legislative issues pertaining to EMS and your scope of practice; the SFPA represents the state of California and sits on the NAEMT Board of Governors. - Ability to vote and run for the SFPA Board of Directors.

- Subscription to the quarterly SFPA newsletter, Protocall, which covers local, state and national EMS issues, and updates in emergency care and treatment.
