Instructions for
San Jose Fire Department Registration
Welcome!
If San Jose Fire Department does not pay for your course please click on Professional Classes in the left menu. These Instructions are for those who have authorization to bill San Jose Fire Department. If unsure ask Michelle.

Online registration requires 3rd
party cookies.

In order for San Jose Fire Department staff to register online you need to follow these steps:
GATHER THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
1. Client ID (SANJOSE - all uppercase letters)2. Employee ID
For Employee ID, use the last 4 digits of your employee number followed by the first 4 letters of your last name, all in CAPS. If your last name has less than 4 characters, add "X" characters to bring the total to 4 characters.
Example 1: Bob Smith (Employee # 656789) would use the following information to sign in:
Client ID: SANJOSE
Employee ID: 6789SMIT
Example 2: John Sia (Employee # 654321) would use the following information to sign in:
Client ID: SANJOSE
Employee ID: 4321SIAX
GO TO THE CORRECT REGISTRATION WINDOW:

SELECT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO:
When you click the "Online Registration..." link you should see a screen that says "Welcome Your Name" with the question "Would you like to:"Click Register for a Class
CHOOSE YOUR CLASS:
You will be brought to the "Classes and Events Intro" screenScroll down until you see the class you want to attend.
Click the "Register online" link
next to the class.
This will bring you to the "Description" screen
for the class you are registering.
Scroll down until you see the class dates and times. Please read the Description, Course Requirements, etc.
Click "Enroll"
next to the session you want to attend. The column "Seats Left"
is accurate.
" Waitlist" means the class is full.
You can put your name on the waitlist by clicking that link, but please
note the chance of getting into the class is very little. Someone will have
to cancel their registration, which doesn't happen very often. If someone
does cancel we'll call everyone on the waitlist, first one to register gets
the seat. Do not show up the day of class unless you receive a confirmation
letter from the SFPA.
Once you click "Enroll" you'll be brought to the "Shopping Cart" screen. Confirm your class. Ignore the "Total". Pay special attention to the class date as this is the only place you can confirm the date. If it is wrong select "Remove" and return to the begining of this section of the instructions.
Click "Checkout"
FILL OUT CONTACT INFORMATION:
You will be brought to a screen that asks for your "Shipping Information" and "Billing Information"Fill out all fields that have the "*", for "Employer" type San Jose Fire Department, for "Department" type your department. Please provide your home address so we can send your confirmation letter directly to you. You can skip the "Billing Information" fields.
Click "Proceed to Order Reveiw" button at the bottom of the screen.
AGREE TO THE DISCLAIMER:
You will be brought to the "Rescheduling Policy" screen. You must agree to the policy to continue.Click "Yes" if you agree to the policy. If you click "No" you will not be registered into a course.
SUBMIT ORDER:
You'll be brought to the "Order Review" screen which will list the title of the course you registered for, you should have confirmed the date of your class at the "CHOOSE YOUR CLASS" section of this process.Click "Submit Order"
CONFIRMATION:
You'll be brought to a screen that says "thank you for your order". The confirmation letter will be mailed to the address you listed as the "Shipping Address". If you do not receive your letter in 3 days call the registration office at the SFPA. Please allow 3 days for the letter to arrive, and remember to check your mailbox before you call.Having trouble with the online registration?
Having trouble with online registration and San Jose Fire pays for your class? please fax a registration form for the class you wish to attend, you can print the fliers using this link http://sfparamedics.org/pages/classes/professional.php#fliers. Please fill out the entire form and write "Bill San Jose Fire" in the payment field. When we receive your order we'll process the request and MAIL a confirmation letter.For those who are not on the approval list we'll call you for payment (unless you list payment on the form), you will not be registered for a class until we receive payment. If you do not get a confirmation letter after 3 days please call the SFPA. You may also call us to confirm receipt of the fax.
